At Grove HR we are committed to continuously improving our features to streamline your HR process. With our latest product update, managing employees' working time just got better with a clock-based work schedule and more.
Introducing a new clock-based work schedule for improved time management. We've also enhanced current features to help track attendance better, import all employees' profiles in one click, and work faster with Checklist.
Here's how
A more comprehensive and flexible Work Schedule
1. Brand new clock-based Work Schedule
We’ve recently shipped a new feature that gives you flexibility to fit your company’s work schedule needs. As an admin, now you can:
- Create a work schedule with start time and end time so that you can check your employee’s attendance.
- Decide on a fixed break time for everyone.
- If the clock-based work schedule is activated, you can easily view, search or filter whatever you want in settings.
2. View Clock-based work schedule right in employee profile
With the new update, employees can also view their clock-based work schedule. Plus, the work schedules of employees are available for direct managers and HR admins. This would help organize the team's working time and help you plan workload better.
3. Track attendance better with new logged time, paid time and break time
Logged time, paid time and break time are added to the attendance report. Before this update, the time that the employee records that he is working, excluding his break time, was regarded as the ‘actual’. It is now referred to as the logged time and it is uneditable for employees.
The paid time is proportionate to the work schedule so it is on this basis that is accessible by the employees and can be edited.
The last is break time. The break time which is defined in the work schedule is only available if the employee is using the clock-based work schedule.
Each office will have the configuration to turn on/off the clock in/out feature.
One-click importing all default fields in Employee Profile
Before this update, Grove only supported importing some and not all system fields. It also required nine (9) fields in the import file.
Now, you can import all system fields in the employee profiles so you can transfer data of existing employees to your database on Grove faster and easier. The only thing required is an email address, first name and last name. The following data are added to be imported:
- Personal information
- Home address
- Emergency Contact
- Bank information
- Job information
These are the basic information about the employee that can be imported. In cases where there is a new employee and there is no data for the following fields, you can always get default data.
Upgrade Checklist functionalities
1. Duplicate a checklist template
As simple as it sounds, you can now duplicate an existing checklist rather than building from scratch. After this new duplicate template has been created, the tasks will be similar to that of the original template. You are able to edit or delete or create new tasks afterwards.
2. Create tasks using multiple employee information fields
Lastly, the HR team and employees can cut down onboarding time by using multiple employee information fields.
Before, if the task type was the employee information, he had to create multiple tasks for multiple fields. Then, employees would be required to complete multiple tasks and this would increase their onboarding time.
Now when you create or edit a task where the task type is equal to the Employee Information, you can choose multiple fields. Of course, the assigned person can see and access multiple fields.
